The scenic routes, like the Salcombe to Kingsbridge cycle path, provided us with breathtaking views of the countryside and coastline. It was a great way for us to bond as a family while enjoying the outdoors.
My wife says that it would have been helpful to have a map of the cycling routes near the cottage.

The bathroom at Hope Thatch was amazing! It had a shower and a bath, so I could have a quick rinse or relax with a long soak. As someone who loves pampering myself, it was perfect!
Some might find the bathroom a bit small, but I didn't mind it at all.

We had a wonderful stay at Hope Thatch for 4 nights. This charming thatched cottage is conveniently located for exploring the area. The Old Inn across the street served delicious meals, and there was a Coop store within walking distance. The comfortable beds, selection of games and puzzles, and responsive hosts made our stay even more enjoyable. The modern kitchen with tri-fold doors opening onto the garden was a highlight, as were the extensive collection of wine and cocktail glasses. The EV charging facility was a bonus, and there were great golf courses and farm shops nearby.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

We got great value for our money at the cozy, old-meets-new cottage in Salcombe. The room was well-equipped with modern facilities and had a pleasant garden view. The location was perfect, with two pubs nearby but still quiet, and a convenient Co-op within walking distance. The staff were quick to respond to any queries we had during our stay, and there were plenty of scenic walks to enjoy right from the property.
The breakfast could have been better with more variety or local options.

We recently had a wonderful stay at a charming cottage in a beautiful location. The combination of old and new within the cottage was delightful, with modern facilities seamlessly integrated into the traditional surroundings. The kitchen and bathrooms were particularly impressive, offering all the amenities we needed for a comfortable family stay. The newly finished garden was a highlight for our daughter, who couldn't get enough of it.
Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as a steep set of stairs and low ceilings, these were manageable and didn't overshadow our overall experience. We also felt that a small information pack on the local area and property instructions would have been helpful.

We loved the combination of old and new in this charming cottage. The modern downstairs cloakroom and well-equipped kitchen were great features. The bi-fold doors opening onto the garden and patio area were a nice touch. The proximity to two pubs was convenient, yet it wasn't noisy. Having a Co-op within walking distance was a plus. The off-street parking for one car was a bonus, even though it might be tight for larger vehicles. The owner was extremely responsive and quick to address any queries we had during our stay. Lastly, there were plenty of scenic walks to enjoy from the property.
Can't think of anything.

We had a wonderful Christmas getaway at this charming thatched cottage. The combination of old and new decor created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The modern bathroom and well-equipped kitchen were a perfect blend of convenience and character. The location was fantastic, with easy access to the coast, nearby towns, and plenty of interesting things to do. We particularly enjoyed the proximity to two quiet pubs, where we could unwind and enjoy a drink after a day of exploring. Plus, there were plenty of scenic walks to discover right from the property.
While we loved our stay overall, there were a few drawbacks. The low ceilings and doorways took a bit of getting used to, and some members of our group found them uncomfortably low.

Loved the charming cottage, especially the kitchen and garden. Kept entertained with the flat-screen TV, Xbox, and iPod dock. Enjoyed hiking and fishing in the area. Free WiFi a bonus. Plymouth Pavilions just a short drive away.
Oh, how I adored the dirty carpet, lack of toiletries, and the absence of an info pack. Simply marvelous.
